Vivienne Blaj — Registered Massage Therapist
Originally from Romania, Vivienne Blaj moved to Canada together with her family at the age of twelve. Vivienne grew up on the family farm in Colgan where she developed her love for animals.
Before becoming a registered massage therapist Vivienne worked as a registered dental hygienist in the Toronto area for nearly ten years. She slowly realized that her passion lay within the anatomy of the human body. Vivienne then decided to switch careers and become a registered massage therapist. She graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2004 and has practiced massage therapy ever since.
Curiosity and love of studying human anatomy encouraged her to continue her studies in osteopathy. She started her osteopathic journey in 2010 at the Canadian College of Osteopathy in Toronto. The CCO is the oldest osteopathic manual practice school in Canada and has the longest qualification program of any other program in osteopathy here.
Vivienne has completed her five academic years at the CCO and is currently working on her research thesis.
Vivienne shares her home with her two dogs, four cats, nine birds, twenty fish, and a loving husband. Besides her husband and osteopathy, she loves ballroom dancing and traveling.
8:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Becky Wood - Canine Massage Therapist
Becky Wood has been working as a veterinary technician since 2002. Originally from London , she began her career in the veterinary field and knew this work was close to her heart. Currently she works as the practice manager and veterinary technician for Henderson Mobile Veterinary Services, providing care to sick and geriatric animals in the comfort of their homes.
Through her work in veterinary medicine, Becky developed an interest in learning all she could to add to the quality-of-life of the animals she encounters. She received certification in the Canine Massage Therapy program from the Royal Canadian College of Massage Therapy in Toronto.
Owning two elderly large-breed dogs, Becky understands the importance of touch and massage to their day-to-day comfort, and is excited to offer this modality to the pets at the Ultimate Healing Concepts office in Cookstown, ON. Alongside massage therapy, Becky is also in the process of completing the required case-work to receive her Animal Reiki Certificate through Ultimate Healing Concepts. She feels this, along with massage therapy, can benefit all dogs, young or old.
Further, through her work with so many geriatric pets and their families, Becky began to realize that there is very little support for the pet parents who lose their precious "fur-kids." She enrolled in a pet loss and bereavement counseling course through the Association of Pet Loss and Bereavement (APLB) and received certification in the fall of 2013.
She is in the process of starting a monthly pet-loss support group that will be available to pet parents to help them learn to cope with their loss and share similar experiences with others who have also lost a pet.
Becky is excited to offer these services and is looking forward to helping out her canine friends.
Becky Wood offers canine massage sessions every Thursday at the office. Contact Becky directly with any questions or to book an appointment.
